Brendan Crossan

Director of Operations

Brendan has over twenty years experience in the education sector. He started his career as an Economics teacher in a large secondary school in West Yorkshire before moving into further education and heading up the Business School at Selby College, North Yorkshire. It was at Selby College that he moved into the non-teaching side when he set up a highly successful business development unit.

After moving south, he helped set up business development units at the University of Greenwich and Brooklands College before moving back into schools as Marketing & Admissions Director for the City of London Freemen's School.

Following a move into the social housing sector, he gained significant experience of leading Finance, HR, ICT and Business Improvement functions at director level in the London Borough of Sutton.

Sarah-Jane Lowry

PA to Executive Director and Administration Officer

Sarah-Jane has worked in education since 2002; her first role being Work Experience Manager for six years at Waltham Forest Education Business Partnership, during which time Sarah-Jane worked along side many of the secondary schools in the borough and was responsible for a comprehensive but smooth-running work experience programme and employer engagement.

Since 2008, Sarah-Jane has worked in senior administration roles such as PA to Headteacher and Office Manager within education settings; Children’s Centres, Primary and Secondary Schools.

Nightingale Simson

Primary Senior Administration Officer

Nightingale supports the Primary Education & Partnerships team to ensure the effective delivery of the service, acting as the initial point of contact for the team.

Nightingale manages the Service Level Agreement (SLA), ensuring that the on-line system is uploaded and available to schools in order to purchase school improvement packages and central training courses.

Nightingale has worked for Tower Hamlets for the past twenty-seven years.
